Amish Dining Room FurnitureWe bring you extraordinary, Amish-crafted tables and dining sets, ready for gatherings ranging from daily family meals to occasional get-togethers with friends. We also can help surround your table with cabinets, buffets, hutches and curios that showcase or store your favorite items. Our designs by Amish artisans emphasize simple, timeless styles. Some pieces, such as jelly cupboards and “pie safes,” even have played a part in the Amish tradition of homemade foods. Our dining room tables are built individually by an Amish master craftsman with more than 28 years experience. They are elegant tables, made of finest quality hardwoods in sleek yet functional designs. They also are extraordinarily durable; our solid wood tabletops are 1½ inches thick, exceeding even general practice for Amish furniture. All our furniture is custom-made to orders. So, at ByAmish, you can choose from one of our 10 standard tabletop shapes, or you can draw a design yourself and we’ll build it for your dining room. Our craftsmen also can adjust details, such as the shapes of table corners and edges, to your liking. One key dimension is seating space. Our tables are sized to allow a comfortable 28 to 30 inches per person. Of course, our hardwood dining chairs also are distinctive and constructed for comfort. They are finished by hand, which draws out the natural beauty of the wood grains. No two chairs turn out exactly the same; each has its own unique charm. Beautiful hardwoods combined with superior craftsmanship give Old World quality to these fine dining chairs. They are available with and without chair arms. ByAmish also can help complement your dinner table with our broad selection of finely crafted cabinets. Buffets can hold silverware and table linens. Windowed hutches display glassware and other tableware, or perhaps memorabilia. Also placed well in the dining room are large pie safes and thinner jelly cupboards, where Amish families stored baked or canned goods in the days before ice boxes and refrigerators. Today, they can add useful storage space and touch of Amish tradition to your room. |
