All Amish Crafted furniture is made from northern hardwoods cut in nearby forests. The primary hardwoods we work with are:

• Red oak
• White oak
• Walnut
• Cherry
• Hickory
• Maple

Cedar is also used to line chests.

Red and white oak may be quartersawn at your request. This means that the log will be quartered first and then cut perpendicular to the rings, revealing vascular rays (ray flecks) that give quartersawn oak its distinct appearance.
